It is estimated that there are more than 300 different species of fish that can be found in the town’s waters. There are also many parks in the area that are perfect for such activities as bird watching, hiking, and biking. There is a great aquarium, Marine Aquarium, located in downtown Clearwater that boasts dolphins, otters, and sea turtles. While you are down there, be sure to visit the Ruth Eckerd Hall where you can watch a theatrical performance or orchestra concert.

Then there is the shopping. There is a large mall, Countryside Mall, located in Clearwater. Aside from the more obvious activities there, you can experience something you never planned on doing while on a Florida vacation—ice-skating. That’s right, there is an ice-skating rink located inside of the mall.

The perfect end to your exciting, fun-filled day is heading down to the Pier and taking in the sights and sounds as the sun sinks over the Gulf waters.
