Which Cruise Is For You?

When you think of a cruise holiday, images of luxury, comfort, fine dining and unique entertainment spring to mind. These days there is a massively varied range of cruise holidays to suit everyone, from retired couples, to families with young children, to large groups – but which cruise best suits you.

In this post I would like to explore some of the major cruise lines, Royal Caribbean, P&O and Celebrity X Cruises, to give an insight into what life is like on board.

Royal Caribbean International

Royal Caribbean and there range of ships have something for everyone, from families with young children to couples looking for a romantic holiday. With Royal Caribbean cruising to nearly 300 destinations on a wide range of cutting edge ships you’re bound to find a cruise and a ship that fits you. Freedom Class ships, for example, feature a surfing pool and huge water parks that are perfect for young families. What’s more, with lots of cruise and stay deals to be had, you can make your break as flexible as you like.

Royal Caribbean International ships have become famous for their signature climbing walls which tower above the sea on every ship. Reaching the top gives you a great feeling of accomplishment as well as providing stunning views out to sea. However, for those looking to take things a bit easier there are ample opportunities to sun yourself by one of the numerous pools, enjoy shopping, world class entertainment and fine dining in one of the many excellent on board restaurants.

P&O Cruises

P&O Cruises offer a range of very family-friendly cruises, including cruises aboard their largest ship, the Ventura, which has a range of facilities for the whole family, including a full-sized theatre with entertainment.

However, P&O also offer cruises that are more geared to those looking to escape the kids for a while. If this is you then a cruise aboard the Adonia could be ideal for you. Carrying just over 700 passengers, the Adonia has an intimate and friendly atmosphere with a fantastic old world feel that takes in sweeping staircases, wood panelling and classic art works.

Guests can spend the day or evening dancing away at one of the ship’s many dances or enjoying a range of evening entertainment from classic musicals to classical recitals. Guests can also dine in style whilst enjoying panoramic views from one of the ship’s three restaurants, including the elegant silver service Pacific Ocean Dining Room.

Celebrity Cruises

Celebrity X Cruises are world renowned for their elegant charm. The Celebrity Infinity is ideal for those seeking a relaxing and restful cruise; you won’t find any pool parties, adrenaline sports or poolside games on this cruise. Cruising to some of the most exotic destinations in the world this is perfect for people wanting to visit some unforgettable places too.

After dark Celebrity cruises really come to life with a range of restaurants, bars and nightclubs to choose from. Guests can dine in the upmost style, dance the night away or enjoy an evening of elegant entertainment in one of the many clubs, where you’ll find exotic cocktails and musical entertainment that is second to none.
